Requires Max 8+ and macOS 10.15+ or Windows 10+.

Get started

1. Extract the downloaded archive into the Packages folder inside of your Max folder, usually found in the Documents or My Documents folder.

2. Launch Max and go to Extras > Beam for Max > Beam for Max - Overview.

3. When you open a patch containing a Beam for Max external for the first time, you might see a dialog window saying “External cannot be loaded due to macOS quarantine. Max can attempt to remove quarantine attributes from beam.lib.mxo. Proceed?“.

Tick the “Apply to all for this patcher” and press “OK”.

4. If you have purchased a license, authorize Beam for Max using the License Manager. You can also skip this step and first try Beam for Max in a fully-functional trial mode with periodic pauses in DMX output.

5. Get started by following the Quickstart patch.
